Dr Carol Snellgrove, Clinical Psychologist
Carol is an experienced clinical psychologist of 22 years with a career history filled with excellence. Not only is she an adept therapist for adults and couples, Carol has also published extensively in peer reviewed journals and is well respected in her field. She has furthermore been invited to speak at conferences abroad and in Australia.
Besides her accolades in academia and the like, Carol is a welcoming, kind, and very easy to relate to therapist who really cares.

Carol describes her therapeutic style as person centred, practical, solution focussed, warm, encouraging, and compassionate. Notwithstanding her illustrious career where she consistently excelled in both a therapeutic and academic context, Carol remains down to earth, personable, and very easy to talk to. She is a kind listener and works collaboratively with her clients to find solutions.
Carol has extensive experience in treating trauma and PTSD, alleviating anxiety and depression, and working with older adults. She is also highly skilled in helping clients manage chronic conditions, such as pain and other chronic health concerns.
Carol is interested and experienced in working with personality disorders which she approaches with consideration for the considerable suffering they can bring.
Additionally, Carol helps to alleviate and make meaning of grief and loss. She is also a skilled couple’s counsellor and facilitates growth by developing the best relationship therapy for each unique couple she works with
Carol developed and holds the copyright to the Snellgrove Maze Task (SMT) – a cognitive screener of the likely driving competence of older people with mild cognitive impairment that is used in many countries globally.
