Telehealth Psychologist Counselling
Telehealth means that you can access psychological support and therapy using your phone, tablet or computer, in the comfort and safety of your own home and office, at a time that suits you. All of our psychologists are experienced and well-trained and now offer compassionate and confidential Telehealth services.
Medicare rebates are now available for all Australians until 30 September which allows you to consult with your psychologist remotely using phone and video services. As usual, you are able to claim a Medicare rebate for individual psychology therapy sessions if you have a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP. It is now also possible to obtain a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP over the phone, which makes for a smooth and comfortable transition to obtain effective therapy in these difficult times. Research has proven that video therapy can be just as effective as in-person therapy. Many private health funds now also provide for Telehealth sessions.
If you have recently travelled overseas, have been in contact with a person who may have contracted COVID-19, are feeling unwell, fall into one of the vulnerable health groups, or if you just prefer to have an online consultation, please contact our friendly reception staff who will do their best to set this up for you at a time that suits you.
Our reception staff will be able to give you the information that you need about Telehealth, including how to create a video link from your mobile phone, tablet or computer (with webcam setup). Payment is arranged by either credit card or electronic funds transfer before your session.
At Kensington Psychology and Well-Being, we will do our best to support Australian communities in this difficult time with kind, effective and professional care.
Please contact us on 08 7006 5225 or at email@example.com for more information, or to book an appointment at a time and place that suits you best.
